The Sayang collection features a unique way of weaving and sewing leather. By applying this technique on top of a suede/leather of similar colour, the effect becomes rich and sophisticated. With such intricate stitching, the larger bags in the collection can take three days to create. While we originally only do the colours shown here, we are happy to make custom orders on request.
Each piece is handcrafted by skilled Balinese and Javanese artisans from the softest, highest
quality, ethically sourced genuine leather. It is then
hand-dyed, infusing it with artistry and individuality.
Traditional handwork techniques are featured in all the styles that make them
unique and that cannot be easily replicated.
Each Lilla Lane handbag can be dressed up or down and transition effortlessly from day
to evening. The designs are coupled with delicate folded leather
techniques, knitted metal wire mesh, and carefully selected shells, beads and
crystals that are handsewn. Each design is a beautiful work of wearable fashion
art. Some of the handbag styles can take up to three days to make.
